Synopsis:
Leave it to Maryah Woodsen to break the one rule that will screw up eternity: Never erase your memories.
Before entering this life, Maryah did the unthinkable—she erased. Now, at seventeen years old, she’s clueless that her new adoptive family has known her for centuries, that they are perpetually reincarnated souls, and that they have supernatural abilities. Oh, and she's supposed to love (not despise) Nathan, the green-eyed daredevil who saved her life.
Nathan is convinced his family’s plan to spark Maryah's memory is hopeless, but his love for her is undying. After spending (and remembering) so many lifetimes together, being around an empty version of his soulmate is heart shattering. He hates acting like a stalker, but has no choice because the evil outcast who murdered Maryah in their last lifetime is still after her.
While Maryah’s hunter inches closer, she and Nathan make assumptions and hide secrets that rip them further apart. Maryah has to believe in the magic within her, Nathan must have faith in the power of their love, and both need to grasp onto the truth before they lose each other forever—and discover just how lonely eternity can be.

Review:
I got this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
X- MEN meets MY NAME IS MEMORY? That says in the description... well... I haven't read MY NAME IS MEMORY but It must be good because this book was awesome!
I'm glad I had that chance to be one of the first readers of this enthralling story because it really is marvellous. It evoked many different emotions in me, it had so many compelling moments and at some point I almost cry! I won't post any spoilers don't worry! Go ahead and find out on you own!
The plot was very interesting. Although reincarnation may be a common topic, the author gave it some twists and turns that made it completely amazing.
I think the writing was fantastic, the dialogues are great, so smart and there were many original and interesting situations. Their first encounter was keenly awaited, but totally worth it! Magical and funny at the same time.
Maryah and River's beginning is awesome, they have a true connection and he is so sweet, I admit it! I'm a sucker for love triangles! XD
I loved Carson's personality, he was funny and the only one giving her some leads to the truth! Meteor! XD
I felt, though, that Maryah was clueless in extreme and maybe Nathan's efforts to be with her were somehow mild.
Nonetheless it is one of the best books I've read this year, it's only the beginning of a promising series, and it goes straight to my "favourites shelf". I'm in love with a new series! (as If I my to-be-read shelf needed something extra! lol)
Before I forget and leave you alone until tomorrow: don't you love the cover art? That picture is gorgeous and those petals and feathers are a perfect addition!
Thumbs up for Karen Amanda Hooper!
