That's Night Secrets, a suspenseful paranormal romance written by B.K. Walker, author of Dares And Dreams and Death Upon Me.

My Thoughts:

3.75 stars

First of all, this book contains a few explicit sex scenes. Careful with the kids!

MIXED EMOTIONS PEOPLE! Most of them good, but here is my review :)

As you can see I liked it but didn't love it.
It is a very good book but can't place it next to stories I truly love, not because it doesn't have potential, on the contrary it  is a great story. I just felt it too short and for that, I sensed some lack of depth both in characters and story build up.  It's like everything happened so fast.

But at the same time this was good because I couldn't put this book down! I read it in a few hours!

It's very original and fast paced. I loved the fact that the author included twins, yay! It's my favorite way of making a combination of good and evil.
The characters seem interesting, they are diverse which I like a lot.

The author  brought up a wonderful and legendary figure such as "Morgan Le Fay" and blended it smoothly into the plot. That fact I LOVED!

Corbin is interesting, he is a bit eccentric but also charming. Jared was for sure my favorite character. I loved his sense of humour and the way he cherishes his friendship with Keara.
I'm looking forward to reading more of these two.

Two things BK: The aunt always speaking in that weird way! OMG! I wanted to punch her in the face -.-  and Keara needs to improve her sense in fashion ASAP! lol

Anyway, It is the beginning of a series (or so I hope because the end is a major cliffhanger!) so I am definitely placing my votes on B.K Walker.

WELL DONE!

Guest Post:

Character Theme Songs

People wonder about characters, and what they are like before they read a book. Here are the songs that I relate to my characters in the book.

Keara: Somebody Save Me by Remy Zero

Corbin: I Wear My Sunglasses At Night by Cory Hart because Corbin's always wearing sunglasses.

Channing: Call Me by Shinedown

Aingeal: Black Magic Woman by Santana

Jamison: Simple Man by Shinedown (originally by Lynard Skynard)

Jared: Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry

Dante': Bad Company by Five Finger Death Punch

Buddha: Wolves and Werewolves by The Pack A.D.

  1. Thank you for hosting me , reviewing me, and I loved the review. I have to laugh that you wanted to punch Aunt Aingeal in the face, because at times I did too. When I say I write just like the characters talk in my head, I literally meant that. I'm so glad you're honest Rhomy :).
